Boxing Bones

With my current advocation towards boxing my constant interest in fitness is also growing. Boxing has faded in the mainstream sports but has always had traditional roots. There was an age of heavyweight boxers in America. It was made up of statuesque men that trained hard. Focus has shifted for a lot of people to Mixed Martial Arts. That makes for different styles and different body types. The training is still hard. No fighter ever won with out earning there physique. That’s really the salt of the whole thing.

The romance of boxing will never die. It takes passion to gain physical prowess. To be great, if your talented, it takes hard work. With that, like my grandfather I’ve found boxing is in my bones and I’ll need to apply hard work to develop into a fighter.

I plan to share my development in boxing and partner with people who are interested in training, building physical and mental strength. With a path to become a better athlete I will make a way to bring in elements of freediving in workout routines. Coffee, boxing and fishing will all be tied into my fitness route.

Blubber Rich

On the “rhino” hunt!

moving to the mid west (Indiana) has packed some pounds on me. The weight wasn’t accompanied with out muscle and strength, in my legs primarily, but a change is coming. With a Mid west diet and more anaerobic exercise, swimming included, I gained girth I’ve never had, in the last seven months. Vegetarian meals were included in the past seven but I always would take full plates of the meals with beef and potatoes. I have my Grandmother-in-law to thank for that, we always felt welcome, when I was on good behavior at least…

…let’s be real here, a little extra blubber never hurt but it’s time to get in “ship shape” or as I say, freedive fit. My boxing routine will get me there and I’ll be ready to return to the Keys and have dogged dive days…

The Art of Timing

Releasing art is a lot about timing. It shouldn’t be random and the timing should assist the message of the art, what ever that may be.

I currently have an artist itch…

…I’ll be following with some sort of art release. Maybe a collection of zombie infected fish that can only be meddled with by top spearos around the world. Maybe, just maybe some adapted stories with zombie pandemic spice added in.

I look forward to creating the series. Look out!

Pandemic Parley

Strange days with COVID 19. I remember hearing about COVID early on and no one thought any thing of it. Who knew it would change into such a life changing moment in history. It is odd that in our world we have to overcome such an event but there is history that has shown similar parts in medical history. It has has knocked any romantic glory we had planned for 2020 and made it more of a zombie apocalypse kind or vibe. It surely can be over prepared and sustained for but it also has been under prepped for too.

We’ve been blessed in the A.R. camps, friends and family have been well and plan to take care of themselves through out this pandemic.

It for me has been a moment to reflect and stall, while the natural world of infectious disease is sorted with time and responsible action.

Developing an Outfit

Leading with an example of liberation. Becoming who I want to be with more than a business title. Down to the very threads put on everyday the goal is to get better at even just that idea. What to wear and why with more than the weather in mind.

Making motives with more than capital gains. Motives that make a story and create a better person. Motives to make a spearfishing scene like none other even though currently land locked. Travel is in all ways possible. Locations and destinations can be chosen and bonds created…

Investment in crucial skills like CPR and taking more time to hone, harden and sharpen the body. Spending free time doing short boxing bouts with my shadow and beastie ball. Investing a daily push to gain a benefit from social cyber sites. Moving forward to make improvements for A.R. Crew and family. And never forgetting to have fun with it!

Operations in the dark

A plan for The Aqua Rodeo is being made day and night currently. Spearfishing shootouts will be had and advancements will be forged in my personal gaines. One big one is a CPR certificate. A fitness regiment will be established too. The next is developing future goals for A.R. and the Aqua Rodeo Clowns. AB Biller may be endorsed, our mobile brand site will be bettered and The old Saddle Bunch restaurant is in the sights…

Blubbering around

The new year and A.R. is now a crew! That being stated, we’ll see what it turns into. I have a Crew SPL. I’m no good at hook and line fishing. Hailing from Key West, I have to stick to my guns. I’ll focus my energy on spearfishing and focus on outfitting any one who has interest in shooting/branding with the A.R. crew. I’m currently long is sun protection and dive equipment. Sport and cotton long sleeves, wicker hats, Buffs, and dive belts and buckles.

My family boat is like tug o’ war. It’s like pulling teeth to get use of it but, the keys to a 17’ Scout is on the table. Contact if interested in shoot outs and harvesting fish. I’ll be blubbering around until I’m back in “pool shape”.

Snaking back country trip

The sun was high, on August/25/2018, we set out in Saddle Bunch. We, Court and I, launched from my neighbors, the Freyder house on Bay Drive. We were toting beer and I was ready to make way through Five Mile. The paddle there was long and tasking. I had tied my kayak to Court’s and ended up towing her. Once we were in I was in a mangrove heaven. It snakes, the way through Five Mile, and always proves to be interesting. Sharks, rays, mangrove snapper, birds and jets over head, for a moment. The paddle, after the snaking Five Mile course, turned into a mild real estate tour. Court enjoyed that. My take away was the jet fly over while in a mangrove channel with a beer in my hand.

Sprawling Reboot

Sprawling feet and toes are what I have…

after years of tying boots up I found my foot bones are fit for broader soles. This new find will help with work outs and gaining sea legs.

Wide sole deck boots are hard to find it’s a hunt worth while. Once I found my broader foot sole I found a better stance. Seems simple but it’s a grounded find. Great boots are worth it!

Rowing/swimming … keeping in swimming shape a work out goal, that’s next to keeping in rowing shape. With the new broader boot, my plan is to work into a peak shape for my frame.

knot tying… a knot tying routine will fall into my dry land regime.

Dry land work outs…

As I develop my dive strength so will experience and I’ll share it with divers and others…

prints and clothing plans…

The focus is to develop insignia that will be used and recognized in any ocean/bay/fishing/spearfishing outfit.

focus us after marriage…

The a pitimy of a beautiful wife is what I have, in a traditional sense. We are the bones that make it a debate between Dürer and De Vinci…

Beyond an art and Sport

Spearfishing is part of my religion. Fishing and Catholicism are aligned in almost all ways of its history. It’s safe to say spearfishing could be considered a sport/art/a way to provide. The provisional part lands in the commercial realm, endorsed sportsman and in landing pot shots for dinner. All of that can afford you a way to take care of yourself.

A.R. though low in activity for the past few years will continue to develop. I’m finally married! There has been investments mentioned in the fire branding that will proceed and events are being planned. The physical aspects of individuals interested in sea hunting and maritime activity is also a focus. Any interest should make for conversation.

The A.R. Fish camp in Boyd’s CampgrounD

We had an addition while at Boyd’s, named Maggie Mae. She’s a Black Mouth Cur that changed my life. Our first impression, her, the owner of a dog adoption operation (Pawadise), Mirka, my wife, and, Mae went well. I dropped my cap while at camp and she felt welcome.

She still is getting better with every day. She’s a runner, she escaped the first night with us.  She took off hours after our adoption had been approved. The campground was full. She was grazed by a car outside the campground. She ran back into the camp. I was chasing her for a solid hour, quite possibly. It was at night, BBQs were happening all over Boyd’s. It was stressful but a young bub and his sister helped us find her. With the help of other campers my wife, Clara, our first dog, and I got her in. This happened multiple times while we were staying at camp. She’s next to me know and she has developed into a more obedient dog since then.

Losing her were low points but the highs at the camp were extremely fun. She’d Catch crabs and found a homeless man in mangrove brush. I’m always impressed with her hunting abilities.

Clara and I only grew closer. Her sun bathing days at the camp with drinks and brews were some of the best days in my recent life.

Our camp met lots of great people and pets. Those connections will, at least, last a life time.

One of the greatest moments for me while camping in the Keys was in and on the water. I had lite work with a local Captain Conrad, I lasted a few trips with him but couldn’t commit while having two dogs at camp while Court was working at the campground.

Another great moment was with a retired Navy Sailor “Kev” we shot a couple hogs (hog wrasse). Spearfishing always proves for a strong bond. I was using my AB biller and stoned a hogfish, I was glad and am currently, very glad I still have my shot. The hog made a good filet. I was a not so salty gunner. I had a pot shot from that trip, that made for a better scene while at the camp.

Investing in a speargun while knowing what your doing, while diving, can change grocery bills, if interested in that sort of thing, is an addition to ones life. Knowing how to stone a fish is a big one too, where to place the shot to instantly kill a fish while preserving the body of the fish for a filet is very important…

Another great meet was from a retired Army and Coast Guard vet, Jon. He is a plethora of knowledge, much respect to the people in his company at any time. We drank, held let’s of conversation and ate good. “Good and hot” he’d joke. It was a meaningful time with him. I look forward to any future opportunities with him…

Friends and family ties grew over the time while at Boyd’s. I proposed to Court in our trailer, we signed for that trailer together, and what a day it was! That rambler home has made for lots of memories.

The upset was the terms I left the canpground on but, the Boyd’s family, the Hamilton’s have played a part in my life in the FL Keys for most of it.

Shaun Hamilton and I had a few boat trips that turned into lots of fun. My signage is still in the campground and in use. The Hamilton’s helped my life with Court through the two years while she was employed. There’s no bad blood there…

But…

…I curse the closing days of my time at Boyd’s but I won’t poison myself, i’ll Move past it knowing there were special times that I look back fondly.

Spearfishing training

Train, train, train! There are ways to optimize ones work outs. I’m currently putting time in to optimize my everyday to get better at spearing/diving/seamanship. I do simple things like, rowing, lat’ work and back and shoulder work. My next objective is to challenge my sea legs while on land, after that it’s building the strength that pulls along the ulna bone and wrapping the wrist with muscle…

…Thai boxing is in my routine for getting right for running A.R. while seamanship is crucial in the success of Aqua Rodeo I have plans to put work into knot tying…

…the next part is health. The important part is enjoying my health decisions by finding the why I chose to do things for my mental and physical health…

The ring of Fire

I am in the business of branding! In the last year A.R. invested in an authentic brass fire brand. Like a cattle iron brand, this thing is legitimate! I plan to use it for events, branding straw, leather and fabric hats and goods, with a fire pit. It takes the trademark branding of Aqua Rodeo provisions past ink and into a burning logo. It’s fun and original. It’ll make for a great time at our first Aqua Rodeo!

The coco hut

The A.R. Camp has popped up with a new cabaña, we’ll call it, Coco’s cabaña!

We’re outfittin’ for summertime waters, shootability is at a high with the Keys warm waters. We’re firin’ Up the brass brand, it’s hot but who cares, the heat is half the reason to live here!

The Forth of July is tomorrow. Get your drinkin’ buddies! We’ll get the brand lit, one of these days!

It’s #Spearthirty ‘round here, somebody’s gettin’ wet!

1.8 meters

After a smoke, a mango vodka & a sunset, it hit me. All that works well for a warm up so the creative process gets rite. Sometimes the process doesn’t require any fuel but sometimes it makes for a sure thing.

Once the “fathom” logo idea hit me I found my quill and drew. My quill work serves for a base to the process. It slows me down. I used fine tip markers too. The next steps are scanning and vectoring to smooth the look of the logo. Getting in the detail is a fun part, checking letter width & shaping curves to make for a fast look or a weathered look. For this it’s fast! Gettin’ the handstyle logo in shirt shape is crucial. Once it’s neat & fast it’s digitally logged & the shirt selection is a go!

Sundown can do it to ya’.

That all happened months a go. After some fathoming and more pen work, I decided to make it a shirt. Look forward to it, it’s a work in progress, that means, give input.

Pickin’ up where I left off!!!

If you haven’t seen me around since I’ve been back from Chicago, it’s because I’ve been pickin’ up from where I left off. Logging hours with Bella Construction, gettin’ dirty & building shade in the Keys.

We’ve set up camp at Boyd’s campground on Stock Rock. That’s Court, Clara & I. We’ve been back and forth from Chicago to The Keys we’ve decided for now camp life with Boyd’s is for us. Stock Island is a great place to set up an A.R. Outfit for The Keys.

That’s What She Shot has passed & A.R. was able to donate some goods. I didn’t spend much time at the tournament but it looked like a great time.

The Susie Q is fixed from the storm damage, the paddle boards are ready, and the spearguns are being rebuilt. It’s Summer time and we’re ready to hit the water!
